An oldie but a goodie. This tumblr posts beautiful gifs of poignant scenes from films, a must-see for their subtly and charm.
“As the sound of the playgrounds faded, the despair set in. Very odd, what happens in a world without children’s voices.”

…But how does it look in action? This lucky blogger was invited as one of the first few people to try out Graph Search and has been experimenting with some interesting searches. Check it out over at: http://actualfacebookgraphsearches.tumblr.com/
For the past year (on and off) i’ve been tracking some of my favourite music through social music site This is My Jam. It’s a pretty small network, personally i use it as an app through Facebook. The concept is simple, you enter a link to a stream or video of your favourite track of the moment and it seeds this info out to your followers on Facebook and Twitter. I think its pretty neat!
This morning I got a very exciting email. The guys at This is My Jam have created a personalised Jam Odyssey for each user. The screen turns into the front console of a spaceship and literally takes you on a journey through your favourite music of 2012 by playing clips from each track and blending them into one long megamix. I absolutely love this idea, completely rewarding the loyalty of its users by giving them this amazing personalised mix of their favourite music. Brilliant.
Vizify is a visual biography compiled using information from your social networks. It’s essentially an infograph of your social life. You can customize each section so no need to only settle for what it pulls from your Social Media profiles and its possible to change colours and background images to give your profile a bit more personality.
It’s fun to look but in all honesty I can’t see much use beyond the novelty of seeing it the first time except maybe for job seekers who want to express themselves a bit more creatively. However I do recommend you try it out and maybe consider it for your next CV.
The £1 Fish Man is back! After wowing us with his, frankly fantastic, sales pitch at a market in East London, the Pakistani Phenomenon has now gotten the stage he deserves in his own music video. Watch and learn.
Nicely said! Cool design too. I think the most important line in this is “Brands are not in control anymore” - a fact which many seem to forget. Listen to the people! It’s a social world and ignoring your audience will only spell a very quick fall from grace for most brands.
“The people who want to talk to you are the people who want to buy from you.” Don’t close your ears to them.
I designed this “Social Media Manifesto” a while ago and people liked it, so I’m putting it up here, alongside my collection of inspirational stuff from other tech superstars. It’s from one of my favourite keynotes by @GaryVee speaking at Inc500 last year. If you’re in digital marketing I seriously recommend the whole 61 minutes… [WATCH]
Ok so its a promo for Salesforce but the message from the CEO of Burberry is strong nonetheless. Burberry do social media like no other company. They have embraced everything about the digital world that we, as consumers love and translated that to benefit both the brand and their customers. They take customer service to the social sphere and interact with consumers efficiently and pro actively. They are relevant, on trend and constantly evolving to embrace new technologies and ideas. They embody everything I love about Social Media and everything I hope to one day do for a brand.
Having one of those days? The Nicest Place on the Internet is where you can upload a video of you hugging your webcam and share on the site so you can spread the love to someone who needs a pick me up. Nice.
